Attention Bridge of Hope Family

Below, you will find resources that can be beneficial to you and your community not ONLY now, but in the future even after coronavirus has passed.  There are mental health resources, food desert resources, and much more offered by our community that, often times, we are not aware of.  These would also be great resources to share with those who we know of who are in need that we just may not know how to help.

Spectrum is offering free broadband and Wi-Fi internet access for 60 days to students impacted by the coronavirus shutdown.

GCS Resources (food & services for families)

We are aware that, often times, our students in our immediate community are experiencing needs that lack especially in times away from school.  These food, nutrition, and sometimes health needs can be ignored by many who are unaware that many students suffer without the needs expressly given by our school system.  Guilford County Schools has provided a site that has a list of resources for our students who fit these needs.

In this time of social distancing, it is easy to fall into states of depression, anxiety, or even overwhelming fear and frustration as we try to navigate such an unprecedented time.  There are many resources out there that can help in these scenarios along with food and other health needs.  North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University has created a site that provides phone numbers and links to a plethora of useful resources.

Orientation & Peer Support Available By Telephone

The Mental Health Greensboro office will be closed for a few weeks as communities practice social distancing to control the outbreak of the Coronavirus in our state.

During this time of closure, MHG’s peer support specialists will be available for one-on-one peer support over the phone. In addition, new peer orientation into our programming will be available by phone. Orientation is required to begin any Wellness Academy classes at Mental Health Greensboro.

We understand the strain this pandemic situation can create on one’s depression or anxiety, and we want you to know, that our peer support specialists are still available to help you, even as our office is closed.

Please call 336-373-1402, Monday through Friday, to schedule your appointment. Take care of yourself in the meantime!
